About Tasks
Tasks keeps track of the work you need to do and helps you do them.
Eluve suggests tasks for you based on your appointment transcript. After a session, Eluve reads the transcript and drafts follow-up tasks. You decide which ones to keep.
You can create your own tasks. Create a task from the appointment page or from the Tasks page at any time.
AI can do the task for you — you review and approve. Click Start AI on a task and Eluve's agent will work on it, such as drafting an email to the patient or finding appointment slots. The agent prepares everything for your review. It never sends anything without your approval.
Don't see Tasks in Eluve? Tasks is being rolled out gradually. Contact Eluve support to have it turned on.
AI suggests tasks from your session
When a session is completed and its transcript is ready, Eluve drafts follow-up tasks from what was said in the visit. These suggestions show up with a Draft status.

To review suggested tasks:
Open the appointment and find the Tasks section in the right-hand sidebar.
Click See Citation on a task to see the part of the transcript it came from.
Decide what to do:
Accept & start AI keeps the task and has the agent start working on it right away.
If the task is irrelevant, you can dismiss it with Reject.
[Screenshot: Accept & start AI and Reject buttons]
To accept every suggestion at once, click Accept & start all.
When you've completed a task, just click Done.
Changed your mind? Rejected tasks aren't deleted. They move to a collapsed Rejected group at the bottom of the list. Click Undo on one task, or Restore all, to bring them back.
Eluve only suggests tasks for completed sessions that have a transcript and an associated patient. If a session shows "No tasks yet," you can still create tasks yourself.
The AI may not be able to complete some tasks for you. For example, it cannot order a medication. In this case, it will notify you that it's unable to do the task.
Let AI work on a task (agentic tasks)
The AI agent does the legwork on a task, then hands it back to you for review. Nothing is sent, booked or changed until you click Yes.
What the agent can do
Read the patient's name and email on file, and the linked visit's reason, date and note.
Draft an email to the patient. It uses the email address in the patient's record.
Draft an email to another provider. You enter the recipient's address.
More capabilities coming soon! We're currently working on capabilities for the AI to schedule appointments through BLVD—if you're interested in this, contact us to try it out.
Start the AI agent
Open a task and click Start AI, or click Accept & start AI on a suggested task.
The task shows AI working while the agent runs. A run usually takes under two minutes, and you can keep working while it does.
When it's done, the task shows AI finished. Click Open task to see what it did.

You can also tell the agent what you want in the chat box (Ask anything), for example "Email the patient their lab instructions and offer two times next week."
Review and approve
When the agent wants to take an action, it shows a Needs your review card, such as "Send this email to the patient?" You can approve, reject, edit the output, or ask for changes through the chatbar.

When you're done with the task, click the status to mark it as Done. The agent will never mark the task as done for you — it's up to you to decide.
Where to find your tasks
You can see tasks in two places: in each appointment, and on the Tasks page for all your tasks across every patient.
In the appointment
Open an appointment and look in the right-hand sidebar's Details tab for the Tasks section. It lists that visit's tasks. Click any task to open its details panel.

On the Tasks page
Click Tasks in the left navigation sidebar to see all your tasks in one list. By default you see Only my tasks, meaning the tasks assigned to you. Turn that toggle off to see all the tasks you can access in your tenant.

Search by task name.
Filter & Sort to filter by due date (Overdue, Today, This week and more), priority, type, status, patient or assignee. Group the list by patient, type, status, priority, assignee or due date, and sort by due date, created date or priority.
Reset view clears your filters.
Edit in place. Click directly on a task's status, due date, priority, or assignee to change it.
Bulk edit. Tick the checkboxes to select multiple tasks, then change their status, priority, type, due date or assignee all at once.
Creating tasks by yourself
If you want to do something the AI didn't suggest, you can also create your own tasks.
From an appointment
In the appointment's Tasks section, click Add Task.
Type a task title. You can also add a description, type, priority, assignee and due date. The patient is filled in for you.
Press Enter to save.

From the Tasks page

Customizing tasks
You can tell Eluve which tasks to suggest for you, and admins can set rules for the whole clinic.
Edit task settings on the appointment view
In the appointment's Tasks section, click the gear icon.
[Screenshot: gear icon in Tasks section]
In Instructions to auto-create tasks, describe what matters for your workflow, for example "Always create a separate billing follow-up task; skip patient self-care instructions."
[Screenshot: Instructions to auto-create tasks]
Click Save.
Your instructions apply to every future session. To apply them to the current one, click Regenerate tasks. Click Reset instructions to clear them.
Your task preferences, in Settings
Go to Settings → Preferences → Tasks.
Task extraction instructions are the same instructions as the instructions settings on the appointment.
My rules create tasks automatically, just for you. Nobody else can see them. (Your clinic may turn these off.)
Organization rules are the rules your clinic set up. Where your clinic allows it, you can opt out of a rule or add your own instructions to it. Locked rules can't be changed.

Clinic-wide settings (admin users only)
Admin users go to Settings → Organization → Tasks.
Task Types: choose which task types your clinic uses. Types you turn off are never created and are hidden from filters.
Intelligent Tasks:
Suggest tasks from session transcript turns automatic suggestions on or off.
Suggestion sensitivity: Conservative (only clearly stated follow-ups), Balanced (the default) or Aggressive (anything that reads as a follow-up).
Types to suggest limits suggestions to certain task types.
Custom Instructions are clinic-wide guidance. Clinicians' own instructions add to it and never replace it.
Custom Tasks: rules that create tasks automatically after every appointment or on a schedule, such as "Same-day chart review for {patient}." Set the title, type, assignee, due date, priority and instructions, and whether clinicians can change or opt out of the rule.
