Sending client recap via Google Mail

Client Recaps

Eluve automatically drafts client recap emails for you. With one click in Eluve, you can send those through the default email app on your device.

How to set Chrome as your default email app

There are times when you may have Outlook or Apple Mail set as your default mail client, but you’d rather send the client recap through Gmail.

First, we'll update the browser settings.

  • Click the triple-dot menu in the upper-right corner of your browser and select Settings.

  • In the sidebar, select Privacy and security, then click Site settings.

  • Open Additional permissions.

  • Click Protocol handlers.

  • Enable Sites can ask to handle protocols.

Shortcut for Chrome

  1. Type chrome://settings/handlers in the URL bar to get to the settings directly, and remove Gmail and Google Calendar from the blocked list.

Enabling Gmail permissions

Next, you'll enable Gmail to handle email.

  1. Visit mail.google.com and then click the double diamond icon in the URL bar to register gmail as a mail handler.

  2. Click Allow, then Done.
